Gen's ornies
I typed up a gingerbread recipe and printed it on a prim tag gonna hang these using homespun. Not sure if i like the tag look or not, IF you gals have a better suggestion on how to do the recipe to hang on my tree please leave me a comment I'd appreciate it i'm up for any suggestions you may have.

next up is a pic of the gingers and candy canes i bought. Gingers i bought at a local store called Loose change...the candy canes i bought at joanne fabrics for half off last weekend :)
Last but not least these candy canes i made myself using chenille stems: I took 2 white and 1 red and just twisted them together into the shape of a can I made these for Greg's tree. And some for some swaps im doing I need to rub them still with cinnamon and add some mica flakes to prim them up first tho.
Next week hopefully i'll have some cinni dough ornies made up to add to the tree if those turn out i'll take snaps of those as well.
I have the tree up and have the birdseed lights on it thats about it til i get all my ornies together. Not sure besides the cinni bunz if i'll make anything else or not. I plan on adding some popcorn and cranberry garland to it. Would love to have some orange or apple slices but can't find any right now. But stay tuned hard to tell what I'll end up putting on it

Hey Gen,
ReplyDeleteGen,
love it all those gumdrops are so cute:) I like the tags just the way they are . if you wanted to add a bit to them you could glue them to some cardstock cut to match the tag or however you like it then add a little glitter to the cardstock area so it surounds the recipe give it a sugary look or you could do spices around it somehow .not sure if that would look good or not just what I had pop into my head :)
Tracey i have no idea what those gingers are made of probably resin? Raggedy Blessins thanks for that idea i like it! you gals are awesome.
